Microsoft Renews MVP Status for Three Lean TECHniques Team Members

Each year, Microsoft recognizes individuals as MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals) for the work they do to share knowledge, support others, and stay engaged with the broader tech community. The program includes fewer than 4,000 people worldwide across all categories.

This year, three members of the Lean TECHniques team were renewed in the MVP program:

  • Scott Sauber, Director of Engineering – Awarded in Developer Technologies (.NET, DevOps), 3 years in the program
  • Alec Harrison, Professional Software Consultant – Awarded in AI Platform (Azure AI Services), 3 years in the program
  • Daniel Ward, Professional Software Consultant – Awarded in Developer Technologies (.NET), 2 years in the program

Why this matters

The MVP designation brings real, day-to-day advantages for clients working with LT. It gives our team access and direct connections to the engineers and product teams shaping the tools our clients rely on. It also signals a deeper investment in learning and in helping others do the same.

“MVPs aren’t just a title. They’re a sign that someone is deeply invested in learning and sharing what they know,” said Tim Gifford, Chief Innovation Officer at Lean TECHniques. “That drive to get better doesn’t stay isolated. It shows up in how we work with clients – asking better questions, staying ahead of what’s changing, and helping teams make more informed decisions. The access MVPs have is valuable, but it’s the mindset behind it that makes the biggest difference.”

Consistent community engagement

MVPs are selected based on their contributions over the past year – things like publishing technical content, presenting at conferences, contributing to open source, or mentoring others. Scott, Alec and Daniel continue to dedicate time outside of client work to support the broader tech community, and that work feeds back into how we serve the organizations we partner with.

Congratulations to Scott, Alec and Daniel on your renewed MVP status. Your ongoing commitment to improvement and knowledge-sharing helps make all of us better!
