Lean TECHniques Launches Data & Analytics Practice to Help Organizations Build AI-Ready Data Foundations
3 minute read
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of a Data & Analytics practice here at Lean TECHniques – expanding our ability to help organizations build modern, governed data environments that power analytics and AI initiatives.
The new practice formalizes growing demand from clients who are wanting to invest in AI but finding that fragmented systems, inconsistent data management, and weak governance are limiting business impact.
“Organizations want AI to sit on top of their data, but most don’t have that data in a place where it can be accessed, trusted, and governed,” said Tim Gifford, Chief Innovation Officer. “The first step is getting the foundation right and that’s where companies need the most help today.”
With this addition, Lean TECHniques now offers six integrated practice areas designed to help companies modernize deliberately, build lasting internal capability, and transform technology from a cost center into a measurable competitive advantage.
Consistent with Lean TECHniques’ approach, the Data & Analytics team will walk alongside organizations as they work to build stronger data ecosystems and internal capability – ensuring teams are equipped to own and evolve their data platforms, not just operate what someone else designed.
Industry Leader Joins As Director of Data & Analytics
To lead the practice, Lean TECHniques has hired Matt Gordon as Director of Data & Analytics. Gordon brings more than two decades of deep technical and strategic expertise along with national and international recognition in the data community.
Gordon is one of fewer than 60 professionals in the United States recognized by Microsoft as a Data Platform MVP — a distinction awarded to experts who demonstrate exceptional technical leadership and community impact.
Gordon is also a co-author of two books – Beginning Cognitive Services and Pro Database Migration to Azure – and an active leader in the data community. He organizes local and regional data community events, serves as a Redgate Ambassador, and publishes practical modernization guidance on a variety of social channels including LinkedIn.
“Strong data platforms are built through disciplined architecture and shared ownership,” said Gordon. “Our goal is to help organizations design systems that are reliable, scalable, and understandable — so teams can make better decisions, sustain progress long-term, and leverage AI where appropriate.”
Key Areas of Focus
Lean TECHniques’ Data & Analytics practice will support clients across key initiatives such as:
- Enterprise data platform modernization
- Cloud data architecture and migration
- Data governance and quality frameworks
- Integrated business analytics environments
- Business reporting and insight delivery
- AI readiness and enablement
- Team coaching and upskilling
These initiatives reflect the priorities many organizations are navigating as they work to strengthen their data environments.
“When data is scattered across systems that don’t work well together, even well-intentioned technology investments struggle to deliver the results leaders expect,” said Danielle Brommer, Chief Growth Officer. “Our clients are looking for support and a practical path forward so their teams can make better decisions and move faster. That is exactly what this practice is built for.”
To further support this practice, Lean TECHniques has strong partnerships with leading data and cloud platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.
