Lean TECHniques Supports Tech Journey’s 2025 Tech Camp with Scholarships and Mentorship
1 minute read
Lean TECHniques was proud to once again support Tech Journey during its annual Tech Camp last week – a hands-on summer program that helps underrepresented and underserved students explore careers in technology.
This year, Lean TECHniques awarded eight student scholarships, bringing the total number of Tech Journey scholarships we’ve provided over the years to 52.
“Tech Camp gives students a chance to see what a future in technology could look like and to build the skills and confidence to get there,” said Danielle Brommer, Lean TECHniques’ Chief Growth Officer and Tech Journey board member. “We’re proud to support that kind of long-term growth and exposure.”
Several Lean TECHniques team members also volunteered their time throughout the week, leading sessions on topics like web development and user experience. The goal was to share real-world experience and help students build skills, explore different career paths, and discover where their interests and passions could lead.
Tech Journey, based in Des Moines, inspires underrepresented youth to explore and grow in technology by offering engaging, hands-on learning led by industry professionals. Through immersive experiences, mentorship, and consistent support over multiple years, students build skills, confidence, and greater access to opportunities in the tech field.
“At Lean TECHniques, we believe that responsibility to our community goes hand-in-hand with the work we do every day,” said Brommer. “Supporting Tech Journey is one way we invest in the future of our industry and community.”
